SBTG: Shanghai International Logistics, Cross-Border Transportation and Russian Customs Clearance Services

As trade relations between China and Russia become increasingly close, Shanghai, as an important cross-border logistics hub, undertakes a large number of cargo consolidation and transshipment needs. However, cross-border transportation involves long chains and multiple links, while Russia’s customs policies are rigorous and processes are complex. Many enterprises encounter problems such as unstable shipping space, customs clearance delays, and disconnections in transportation coordination during the cargo export process. The core of high-quality cross-border logistics services lies in unblocking the entire chain of “transportation – customs clearance – delivery”, and using stable transportation capacity and professional customs clearance capabilities to escort enterprises. With railway transportation as its core business, Shanghai SBTG has long been deeply engaged in the China-Russia cross-border logistics field. Relying on solid resource reserves and practical experience, it provides enterprises with worry-free cross-border transportation and customs clearance solutions.

1. Core Transportation Capacity: Railway-Led, Building a Diversified Transportation Network

SBTG takes railway transportation as the core support for cross-border transportation and has established long-term direct cooperation with leading railway operators such as Russian Railways and China Railway Container Transport Corporation (CRCT). It holds stable shipping space resources for China-Europe Railway Express and China-Russia special trains, without relying on intermediate agents for order transfer, fundamentally ensuring the timeliness and stability of cargo transportation.

Targeting the characteristics of different cargoes, we create differentiated transportation solutions. For over-dimensional cargoes such as large-scale liquid filling production lines with a total weight of 388.49 tons and a total volume of 1,418 cubic meters, we adopt a multimodal transport mode of “railway trunk line + road connection at both ends”. After being consolidated at Changsha Port, the cargo is shipped to Russian border ports via heavy-duty railway special trains. After transshipment, 24 special heavy-duty trucks are coordinated to complete the 9,204-kilometer terminal delivery. Throughout the process, over-dimensional transportation permits are completed, special personnel are arranged to accompany the shipment, and the cargo status is monitored through satellite monitoring. For small-batch bulk cargo, resources are integrated through an independent LCL system to shorten the waiting time for cargo collection and balance cost and timeliness; for bulk commodities, railway special trains are deployed to ensure batch shipment of cargo.

2. Russian Customs Clearance: Supported by Local Resources, Breaking Through Compliance Barriers

The professionalism of Russian customs clearance directly determines whether cargo can enter the country smoothly. SBTG has established local service networks in Moscow and St. Petersburg, synchronizing the latest customs policies in real time. It provides accurate HS code classification services for cargo, verifies access standards and required certification documents in advance, and avoids cargo detention caused by policy misjudgment.

Document review is a key link in customs clearance. We have set up a professional review team to check core materials such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and railway waybills one by one, ensuring that information such as cargo name, quantity, and value is completely consistent. In the aforementioned liquid filling production line project, the team improved supporting documents such as over-dimensional transportation certificates and technical specifications in advance, realizing the rapid connection of unloading and customs clearance at the border port in less than two days. When encountering customs inspections or classification disputes, the local team can quickly connect and communicate, clearly conveying cargo information and resolving cross-border communication barriers.

3. Full-Chain Services: Detail Control, Building a Risk Defense Line

High-quality logistics services are not limited to transportation and customs clearance, but also cover every detail of cargo flow. SBTG extends its services to links such as cargo packaging, route planning, real-time tracking, and on-site assembly. For precision equipment, it provides customized shockproof packaging. Through an advanced logistics management system, customers can check the location, stop stations, and estimated arrival time of cargo during railway transportation at any time.

We have established multiple risk prevention and control mechanisms. For emergencies such as port congestion and policy changes, alternative routes are planned in advance; for high-value cargo, a full-risk guarantee scheme is provided to avoid the risks of damage and loss during transportation from the source. Adhering to the core values of “reliability, quality, and accountability”, we have achieved 20 years of operation without major transportation accidents and established long-term cooperative relations with more than 400 China-Russia enterprises.

In the tide of China-Russia cross-border trade, choosing a reliable logistics partner is an important confidence for enterprises to explore overseas markets. With railway transportation as the core, SBTG ensures cargo flow through a stable transportation network, breaks through entry barriers with professional customs clearance capabilities, and resolves enterprises’ worries with full-process meticulous services.
